Visually Impactful
A full page ad in the Western Morning News stood out for me last week as I was flicking through the paper. During lunch I always try to find something of interest to read as I eat, but not being a big reader I stopped on a full page advert promoting the Americas Cup in Plymouth.

It was an image of a sailing race with the sunset behind the sail. I studied it for at least 30 seconds because I could appreciate the skills and effort that went in to creating the image: it looks like a mix of cgi and photography. It managed to capture the wild elements that are endured by the competitors during the event. I also liked the graphics that went with it and actually looked up the event on the web (rare!) www.americascup.com I wasn't disappointed as the site had the same richness of images, photography and graphics. I'm sure the text content was just as good but as I am a visual person was happy just to see the interesting design. I think the event looks very positive and exciting. Well presented, good work.
