  4. Radio can multiply the effect of other media, as part of a wider campaign. This seems to originate from the fact that it is audio-only, and therefore stimulates a different part of the brain.
  5. Radio ads make a big impact because of their frequency and because listeners tend to spend so long listening (on average 14 hours per week).
  6. Radio drives response. On average a fifth of Internet surfers are listening to radio - so they are just a click away from interacting with a brand.
  7. Listeners use radio for emotional reasons - to keep their spirits up, to stop themselves from feeling bored in the car or isolated while doing daily chores. This leads to them seeing radio as a kind of friend, and this is a valuable context for an advertiser to appear in.

Cinema audiences are captive. The auditoriums are dark and the audience is silent. With a huge screen and big sound, attention levels are high - and so is advertising impact.

Advertising on cinema screens can be purchased locally, regionally or nationally. It may also be linked to certain types of film or even to specific titles. This allows the smaller, local advertisers to appear on the big screen at very affordable rates.
